
This doesn’t mean you can’t still use ReShade, but you may need to use it purely for screenshots and turn it off while you’re actually playing. (Here’s the laptop I use to play the sims 4 and it runs perfectly with all expansions, mods, cc, and ReShade.) I absolutely LOVE it and always have it in my game, but keep in mind that if you don’t have a higher-end computer or laptop, ReShade may cause your game to be laggy. I have it set up and working in Cyberpunk 2077 perfectly fine, but Sims 4 doesn't seem to cooperate at all. No tutorial message shows up or anything, pressing home does nothing. It's installed properly as far as I can tell, but it doesn't work in the game.

You know how much we all love to take beautiful screenshots and videos of our gameplay. The title says basically everything, I'm trying to install and use ReShade in Sims 4. If you don’t already know, ReShade is this incredible FREE program that you can download to change the look of your favorite video games. If you already have it, just place preset in your Bin folder.

Prior to moving the files to my SSD, the game ran fine with ReShade and no issues. See a recent post on Tumblr from qubedesign about reshade preset. No avail.ġ) Deleted all old files & reinstalled ReShade.Ģ) Allowed ReShade itself to remove old files & reinstalled.ħ) Changed bits in Origin (to 32, then back to 64 where it was)ĩ) Tried other sources (10, GL, obviously to no avail) I since moved the Origin folder back to my HDD to hopefully alleviate this issue.
